Kasab's brother involved in Lahore attack?

The special court, conducting the trial of 26/11 terror attack, witnessed lighter moments as special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam pointed to a photograph of a Lahore bomb blast suspect in a newspaper and asked Ajmal Kasab if it was that of his brother.

"Yeh tumhara bhai hai kya (is he your brother?)," Nikam asked Kasab who was handed over a newspaper which carried the photograph of a suspect arrested in connection with Lahore attack on May 27, which left nearly 30 persons dead.

Kasab just laughed it away without responding to Nikam's query.

Before the newspaper was handed over to Kasab, Nikam said in lighter vein to judge M L Tahaliyani, "I find Kasab disturbed since last few days. Here is a photograph of a suspect arrested in Pakistan. He resembles Kasab, I wonder whether he is his brother."

Judge Tahaliyani, however, did not want to get into any controversy saying this was not part of the proceedings and 'I will not comment'.

The interaction took place just before the court proceedings began on Friday.
