'Make sure that the Liberhan report does not leak'

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Tuesday told the newly appointed media officer of Prime Minister, Harish Khare, that he would look into the report submitted by the Liberhan Commission once he is back in Delhi, treasurer of Congress Moti Lal Vohra told rediff.com.

Chidambaram's instruction to Khare also clearly stated that till his return, any information pertaining to the report which probes the demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992, must not leak, Vohra said.

"The report could be tabled in the Budget Session of the Parliament. The names of people who have been named in the report will remain in the realm of speculation until we see the actual report," Vohra added.

                     Many a drama at Liberhan hearings

The Commission presided by Justice Liberhan, submitted its report to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday, after 17 years of its formation.

Submission of the report has sent shock waves amongst the top brass of the Bharatiya Janata Party, including Leader of Opposition L K Advani, senior party leader Murali Manohar Joshi, and also to former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh, senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadiya and others.
