July 27, 2009 14:19 IST
Former Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party supremo Ram Vilas Paswan was arrested along with dozens of party leaders in Patna on Monday, during a 'Jail Bharo Abhiyan' to protest against failure of Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar.

After Paswan was arrested by the police, hundreds of LJP workers and leaders were also arrested in Patna during the protest.

Police sources said Paswan was arrested under section 151 of the Indian Penal Code along with his supporters, while leading the protest march from the LJP office to Raj Bhawan in Patna.

The LJP launched its statewide 'Jail Bharo Abhiyan' to 'expose' the failure of over 44 months old Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal-United government.

Paswan has also demanded the state government to make public the report of the Maha Dalit Commission
