Israel to unveil squad of 'Internet soldiers'

A total of approximately $150,000 will be earmarked for the establishment of an "Internet warfare" squad.

The foreign ministry plans to hire young people who speak at least one language and study communication, political science, or law -- or alternately, Israelis with military experience gained at units dealing with information analysis.

It is regarded as a counter mechanism to foil Palestine public relations.

Many have criticised the move as anti-democratic, since the state is endorsing it, and is seen as an encroachment device on free will.
