Eight fresh cases of swine flu were reported from across the country on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 153.
Three cases were reported in Bengaluru, two each in Mumbai and Delhi and one in Hyderabad.
The two cases in Mumbai are of two youths, both aged 25, who reached Mumbai from Singapore. Both of them were detected at the airport screening unit with swine flu symptoms and transferred to the identified health facility.
The case from Hyderabad is of a nine-year-old boy who travelled from Chicago to the city. The two cases from Delhi are of a 25-year-old youth, who travelled from Frankfurt to the capital. He showed symptoms of the influenza during screening at the airport and admitted to the identified health facility.
The second case was that of a 51-year-old man who travelled from Melbourne to Delhi. He was detected with fever at airport screening unit and admitted to the identified health centre.
The three cases from Bangalore are of a 33-year-old man who travelled from Melbourne to the city. He reported to the identified health facility with complaints of fever and body-ache.
The second case is of a 26-year-old youth who travelled from Singapore to Bangalore.
