Huge haul of cartridges; Naxal literature seized

In a major haul, over 1500 rounds of cartridge, two box-loads of Naxalite literature and wireless sets were on Monday recovered in Sasaram, the district headquarters of Bihar's Rohtas district.

Additional Director General of Police (headquarters) U S Dutt said on receipt of a tip-off, ASP Ranjit Kumar Mishra led a raid party at  Kheelamganj locality and arrested a Naxalite, identified as Surendra Kumar, with the cartridge and wireless sets.
Of the seized cartridge, 480 rounds were of 12 bore guns, 715 rounds were of .315 rifle and the rest of Insas and revolvers, Dutt said.
