Rahul Gandhi kicks off 'Mission UP 2012'

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will kick off his Mission UP 2012 in Bahraich on Monday. Youth Congress president Ashok Tanwar has said Gandhi would address 600 youth who have been shortlisted from the district.

During his two-day visit, Gandhi will visit to the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and meet potential candidates for organisational elections of the Youth Congress in the state.According to a Youth Congress press release, Rahul will visit six districts, including Aligarh, Etah, Lakhimpur, Bahraich, Sitapur and Hardoi.

Gandhi will attend a weavers' conference at Aliganj in Etah district and also meet with OBC delegates in Sitapur. On Tuesday, he will participate in a convention of the Congress committee representatives before leaving for Ambedkar Nagar where he will attend a Scheduled Castes convention.

In Kanpur, Rahul will attend meetings of organised labourers and young industrialists besides reviewing the membership campaign of Youth Congress. Besides attending other programmes, he will attend a convention for young women at Avadh School, Gomtinagar.
