'India, US behind terror attacks in Pakistan'

December 07, 2009 14:54 IST
Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaqat Baloch has alleged that the United States and India were behind the series of terror attacks across Pakistan.

"There are proofs of US and Indian involvements in terrors activities in the country, but the rulers are bent on killing their own countrymen," The News quoted Baloch.

Baloch said that his party would observe December 14-16 as black days in protest against the Pakistan government's pro-US polices.

He added that the US embassy in Islamabad had been changed into a 'mini-Pentagon' and the Pakistan government should realise the seriousness of the situation.

Baloch said that the government should try to get rid of terrorism by holding talks with the Taliban.

"War is no solution to problems and the government must hold talks with the Taliban for a durable peace in the country. Islam is a religion of peace and some elements are out to earn a bad name to it by carrying out such activities," he told mediapersons after speaking at a convention of the party.
