Fresh information regarding the formation of the India Mujahideen and its operations in South India is bound to emerge when an eight-member team of Bengaluru Police interrogates T Naseer and his accomplice, Shafas terror suspects who were picked up by the Bangladesh police on the Meghalaya-Bangladesh border.
The duo is being brought to Bengaluru by the team from Meghalaya's capital Shillong. They will reach by Friday evening, a team member told rediff.com.
The cops are also expected to quiz Naseer on the serial blasts that rocked Bengaluru last year.
The crucial aspect would, however, be his links with Riyaz Bhatkal who -- according to investigating agencies -- is the founder of the Indian Mujahideen. The police are still clueless about his whereabouts.
The police will also probe his links with other cadres in Karnataka besides finding out whether there were more elements in the southern India with whom he coordinated the serial blasts.
