Gen Kapoor appointed head of armed forces chiefs panel

Indian Army [ Images ] Chief General Deepak Kapoor took over as the chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee on Monday.
General Kapoor took over from outgoing Navy Chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta, who held the post for over two years since early 2007.
General Kapoor in his role as the Chairman of COSC will be the pointsperson for ensuring coordination in the functioning of the three integrated headquarters of the army, navy and air force in the defence ministry.
