RSS leaders' 'Berlin Wall' comment creates ripples

Senior leader and spokesman of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha Ram Madhav's statement that the wall between India and Pakistan would come down like the Wall of Berlin has created ripples, particularly in the RSS circles.

Interestingly, his statement comes days before former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh is set to release a book on the role of Congress politicians in driving a wedge between India and Pakistan. Ram Madhav, who was participating in a discussion, put his argument seriously.

Does it mean that RSS has changed its policy of Akhand Bharat? He chose not to comment on the issue.

Both former diplomat G Parathasarthy and Congress spokesman Abhishek Singvi rejected the suggestion outright. "How can you reverse the situation. We have worked hard and fought against terrorism. Unless Pakistan give up its policy of using terror against India, there can be no compromise," he said.

Parthsarthy was even more aggressive and wondered how can we talk with Pakistan when its Inter-Services Intelligence has been training terrorists and sending them to Indian soil to kill the innocent.
