Bangalore recorded its first swine flu death.
Roopa, 36, died at the St Philomenas hospital. Roopa was admitted to the hospital after it was suspected that she contracted the H1N1 virus. She passed away in hospital on Wednesday, but the doctors were unsure and could not ascertain the cause of her death.
However, after the test results, it was confirmed that she died of swine flu
In Karnataka, there at least 68 persons who were tested positive for swine flu. Till date 418 suspected swine flu cases have been sent for analysis.
Meanwhile, the screening of passengers coming into Karnataka has become tight and till date 3 lakh passengers have been screened.
