Fernandes is no longer with JD(U): Nitish Kumar

Former National Democratic Alliance convenor George Fernandes is no longer in the Janata Dal (United), Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said.

"George Fernandes is no longer with the JD(U), the party has nothing to do with him," Nitish Kumar told a press conference when asked about Fernandes decision to contest election as an Independent.

Nitish Kumar made it clear that Fernandes decision to contest election as an Independent led to the situation.

"The JD(U) has no ties with Fernandes or any one who contests elections against party decision," Nitish Kumar said.

The party has even taken off Fernandes' photographs the JD(U) office in Patna.
