Sena's reply to Election Commission on Dec 24

The Shiv Sena will reply to the Election Commission's notice on organisational elections on December 24, the deadline set by the EC in its notice to the Maharashtra party.

Disclosing this, Sena youth wing leader Raj Thackeray said there was no provision for holding an organisational election in the party's constitution. The party's final decision in this regard will, however, be communicated to the Commission on December 24, he added.

The Sena will launch its election campaign at Aurangabad on December 26, Thackeray said.

Every one of the Sena's members of the 11th Lok Sabha, he said, would be given tickets. As for the remaining seats in the state, he added, they would be adjusted with the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Sena's ally.
