PM: Tempting, but media should avoid sensationalism

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today laid the foundation stone of the Kochi Metro Rail project, kick-starting the much-awaited project. "I wish Kochi should be one of the best urban centres in the world," said the PM. Addressing the press thereafter, the PM warned, "The media should avoid the desire to be sensational though it is very tempting sometimes."

The Rs 5181.79 crore project, covering a length of 25.612 kms, is being funded jointly by the Centre and Kerala government and is targeted to be completed in four years. PM.
