Four persons werepicked up for questioning, hours after a pre-dawn encounter in Noida in which two suspected Pakistani terrorists were killed, police said.

"We are questioning four persons picked up, on initial suspicion, from different areas in and around Noida," a senior
police official said.

However, nothing substantial has cropped up so far during their interrogation. "It was an initial interrogation and no
clue has been received so far," he said.

In the pre-down encounter, two suspected Pakistani terrorists were gunned down by an Uttar Pradesh ATS team while
the ultras were trying to enter Delhi, a day before the Republic Day celebrations.

Two AK-47 assault rifles, four magazines, 120 rounds of ammunition, five hand-grenades, nine suspected RDX rods and detonators along with a Pakistani passport were recovered from them.

UP police has identified the terrorists as Farooq, a resident of Okara in Pakistan and Abu Ismail, hailing from Rawalakot in Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir.

The incident occurred even as police was already on a high alert in the run up to the Republic Day celebrations, the
official said.
