At least 20 vendors were arrested and later released on bail in a drive by Rajasthan police against 'people with suspicious behaviour', following last Tuesday's blasts that claimed 64 lives.

These vendors, hailing from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, had come to Rajasthan in the last two months and have been selling Chinese goods and other material in the local markets.

The vendors, including 10 from the minority community, were arrested on Saturday under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code (abetment if the act abetted is committed in consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment), police sources said on Sunday.

They were produced before a Banswara court on Saturday night and were granted bail on bonds of Rs 10,000 each.

The drive has been launched following a directive to district police chiefs by the police headquarters to keep a check on people with suspicious behaviour, the sources said, adding that the vendors were not linked to the blasts.
