India on Thursday strongly denied that it was carrying out any terrorist activity in the Pakistan province of Balochistan.

Neither the Indian government nor any other agency had anything to do with any terror operations in Balochsitan, External Affairs Minister Pranab Kumar Mukherjee said in the Rajya Sabha during Question Hour.

Mukherjee was replying to a supplementary asked by Deputy Leader of Opposition in the House Sushma Swaraj. She asked whether Pakistan had directly blamed India for terrorist activities in its province during the talks.

On Wednesday Pakistan was told that its allegations had no grounds.

"Pakistan has been levelling such allegations from time to time, and they have even objected to the opening of Indian consulates in different places in Afghanistan, but we told them we were heavily engaged in reconstruction work in that country, which needed the presence of our staff there," Mukherjee added.
