The word Gujjar has become untouchable for the Bharatiya Janata Party to such an extent that the party leaders shy away from mentioning the word itself, leave alone the question of saying something on it.

Despite best efforts by mediapersons on Wednesday during a press conference at the party headquarter, Prakash Javadekar refused to uttter the word even once.

"I am not a spokesman of the Rajasthan government that I keep on answering the questions that would be handled by the state administration. I can tell you on behalf of the party that the report of the Justice Chopra committee has been passed on to the Central government for further action," Javadekar said.

"Let the Union government take a decision and we will follow it," Javadekar said.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje skipped the issue.

"When I did not say anything, then why should she say anything on the matter," Javadekar said.
