Two kids killed in transformer blast

Two children were killed and two others injured after an electric transformer exploded in Mudafra near Ghaziabad, police said on Friday.

The transformer, which had been leaking for the past two days, exploded on Thursday evening and the hot oil from it sprayed on four persons standing close to it, they said.

Two children, Rahul and Parul, died as a result while Parul's father, Rajpal, and another person had been admitted to hospital with burns.
