Pakistan invites Advani for talks: Report

An agency report quoting Pakistani interior ministry sources said that Pakistan on Friday extended an invitation to Union Home Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani to visit Islamabad to defuse tensions between the two countries.

The invitation was reportedly extended through an Indian intermediary attending the SAARC ministerial conference on information and communications in Islamabad.

No other details were given.
