Italy expresses concern over Indo-Pak tension

Italy's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Margreta Boniver on Thursday expressed concern over the current tension between India and Pakistan and said that her country was willing to play a constructive role to ease the situation.

Boniver, who is on a two-day visit to Pakistan, expressed these views during a meeting with Pakistan Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar, an official release said in Islamabad.

The two leaders also discussed the situation in Afghanistan and bilateral relations, it said.

This was Boniver's fourth visit to Pakistan in recent months.
