Militants threaten to kill Musharraf, security tightened: Report

Intelligence reports suggest that Islamic militants have threatened to kill Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf for his support to the United States fight against terrorism, The Washington Post said on Saturday.

Extra security is being given to the president with the army's Special Services Group now guarding him, the paper said quoting Pakistani officials.

The security measures come amid a series of militant attacks on western and Christian establishments, including Friday's attack on a hospital in Taxila that killed five people, the paper said.

Musharraf is using a decoy motorcade and his schedule is frequently changed, the paper added.
