Condolence Message:The costly Indian Dream... With deep condolences to my brothers and sisters who have perished when nature turned red, it is time for remaining of us to think for a while one of the possible reason for such a catastrophe. Since 10 -15 years, Indian middle class has been chasing a dream of owning a house. Just to realise this, we divert all our resources for this cause and see that we get a new roof over us. This implies that people who were living under one roof some time back, now live under many roofs, thereby multiplying the chances of death as many times. This rises exponentially in some localities, such as Bhuj, where horizantal spreadout of the city is not possible. What every Indian at this point should ask himself is that Is it really worth chasing such a costly dream, which will drain all his resources and will reduce to mud in 2 - 3 seconds flat!

Condolence Message:Was deeply shocked when I heard the news in London where I am working presently. Praying everyday for the survivors and bereaved, my heart goes out to the affected people. During the first few days I caught myself wondering often if there were still people waiting in the dark amongst the rubble for any signs of rescuers, scared, injured and in pain. All I did then was to pray to God to give them strength. Let us all unite, act in love and give generoulsy to the affected people in Gujarat.

Condolence Message:Although my herat goes out to the people of Gujarat which was my home for 15 years, I am terribly upset the way the rescue and relief operations were carried out. It is pity that we have so many experts from foreign countries trying to help us but the Indian officials were the ones that were indifferent and involved in VVip securities. The VVIps make us sick who use these oppurtunities to score political mileage. I hope we the people of India can make the difference and strive to make India a wonderful place. Our foreign office also looked as kids out of Kindegarden the way they manged the foreign help, and being ungrateful to much needed assiatnce.

Condolence Message:My condolences from those who have died. The politicians are rather involved in counting the dead rather than limiting the number of dead. A lot needs to be done for those far flung villages who rarely have the luxury of healthcare. The politicians want to burden the Indian Middle class by imposing taxes. Why dont contribute their month's salary to the relief funds ? They wouldnt starve anyway.

Many Regards. ------------------------------ Where are the multimillionaire Indians….. Now days we heard that this many Indians are in worlds top earners. We had read that Indian community of USA arranged a dinner for the president Bush. In which they donated $ one million each for his election campaign. We read that Hinduja brothers had donated £ one million for Faith zone of millennium dome. We know that Wipro boss Azim Premji is one of the wealthiest man of the world. We have Tatas & Birlas and many more…. Where are these rich Indians, have they not heard of Gujarat earthquake. Are they not owe something to their motherland. The people from all over the world are pouring money for relief works in Gujarat regardless of nationality or religion. But have anybody heard about contribution from these flag bearers of modern India. The only exception is Ambanis of Reliance. They come out with a novel idea. They adopted a whole town, they will clear the rumble and they will provide all necessary things to people of that town. They will build houses for them, they will provide food for them. W e should really appreciate the initiative taken by Reliance people. Can’t the multimillionaire Indians of USA arrange a same charity fund for the victims. Why can’t they come out to adopt a town. Can’t they bear complete rehabilitation cost of a town. Why don’t Hindujas shell out few £ for victims. Where are the corporate sponsors. Why don’t they sponsor a little village. If they come out with their little help for humanitarian cause, we can soothe the cry of people of Gujurat. If we join hands together to help the people we

Only those who've lost their loved ones know what it means to lose...if just the thought of it rips the heart...it's difficult to imagine the state of our fellow Indians who were victims of the killer quake. We cannot bring back the dead nor can we bring back the smiles ...we can only pray to the Almighty Lord that He gives them courage and faith and hope to endure the pain and the loss. Condolence Message:worship of ONE and ONLY ONE TRUE GOD will help alleviate the suffering of the victims of this god given calamity. Since Only one God created us we should only worship him without joining partners with him, otherwise we for sure anger him and invite his wrath. I do not mean hurt to any one, but if any one among us has been hurt then i sincerely apologise for the same. One final thing for us to remember is that, all these boundaries dividing God's land into nations and has been man made, God never created us saying we should be called Indians and the place we live India, I would rather think that all humans are equal irrespective of where he lives, except for the fact that a human is superior to the other just by the virtue of his deeds, the more good we do the more superior we will be over thouse whose hearts pour out hatred and who deceive themselves even after knowing everything. With respect to such people Allah(swt) has correctly described them in Quran saying Knowing they know not, Hearing they hear not. God bless good souls!

And, at this time, I really wished I did. Alas! I grew up in Bhuj, and I can visualise almost everything based upon my memory. My school, Bharat English School,St Xavier's (old Bldg and new), the old Ali baba in whose tonga we would ride to school, our domestic help, Sakina and Sarifa, two sisters who brought me and my sister up, her family who would live by the Camp Area by the local Kutch Mitra office, the little grocery shop which was owned by one of my classmates, Lajwanti's father. We lived on Hospital Road, Vijaynagar Society, and I remember my neighbors, the Khimanis of Punjab National Bank, the Dodhiya family whose daughter Kripali would greet us from her window everytime each one of us landed home, Dimple and her brothers Dhiren and Jignesh, Mr Pomal and family, Pinky. Everyone from GEB Colony. Jubilee Ground. Banker's Colony. All those who owned their store near my mom's. Sureshbhai, Dineshbhai, the NeelKamal Paan House, . My classmate Shilpa Gheewala Shah who lived behind my mom's store, her family Saroj Aunty who always took care of our little pet Chinki (who I am sure missed Bhuj, her birthplace, she must meet a lot of Bhuj in heaven). Mohan Shah, Bhavna, Hema and Jayu. Narainji Uncle, Aunty, Chakku didi, Jiggi Didi, Haresh Bhai, Rajeshwari Bhabhi, Anil, Deepu, kuddu and all of the Jadeja family of Nani Khakkhar.
