Delivering a speech on 'Terrorism in South Asia' in Delhi, he said the move would help resume people-to-people contact between the two countries and other activities, including trade, will have a better prospect.
"Let us think logically - Is there any other solution in sight?" Abdullah asked.
He regretted that some politicians in the country were rejecting the idea.
"If you cannot do this, then let us bomb the militant camps. If the United States can come halfway across the world and bombed terrorists in Afghanistan, can we not cross even one kilometre?" the chief minister asked.
Abdullah said the world was today one in its fight against terrorism and there could be no condemnation from anywhere if the camps were bombed.
"If we don't do it, then future generations are going to curse us," he said.
Taking a dig at the self-styled champions of human rights, Abdullah asked, "Why is that human rights is applicable to only us and not to those (terrorists) who are sent by Pakistan?"
