Pak criticises Indian decision on Jammu

Pakistan on Saturday criticised India's decision to extend to the Jammu region the Armed Forces (J&K) Special Powers Act, 1990.

"The decision is further evidence of India's policy of brutal repression against the popular freedom struggle in Kashmir," according to a statement issued by the Pakistani foreign office.

"This black law which has been applied to the Kashmir valley for over a decade gives license to the Indian armed forces to shoot and kill people at will," the statement added.
