5 jawans killed, 40 injured
in bus accident in Rajouri

Five army jawans were killed and 40 others injured when the bus in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a 500 metre deep gorge near Kali Dhar temple in Sunderbani tehsil of Rajouri district, a defence spokesman said on Sunday.

One jawan was killed on the spot on Saturday evening, while four others succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospitals after they were extricated from the accident site, he said adding that the injured were rushed to Akhnoor and Jammu Medical College hospitals.
