E-Mail this report to a friend

In a major breakthrough in the murder case of Australian missionary Graham Stewart Staines and his two sons, the Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested two persons.

The CBI today said the two accused, Ojen Hansda and Chinchu Hansda, were arrested from Orissa's Manoharpur village where the missionary and his sons were burnt to death earlier this year.

During the interrogation, the accused had confessed to their involvement, besides confirming the complicity of the absconding prime accused Dara Singh and a few others in the crime, a CBI statement said.

The CBI has, meanwhile, announced a cash reward of Rs 500,000 for any one providing clues which would lead to the arrest of Dara Singh. Those giving information regarding the whereabouts of other accused Dipu Das alias Chitranjan Dal and Andha Nayak would get a cash reward of Rs 100,000 each.

The Special Investigation Team of the CBI probing the case has set up a camp office in Orissa.
