Anniversary Celebrations at Swaminarayan Temple In MidwestThe anniversary of the installation of the deities at the Swaminarayan temple is being marked with many activities. The religious ceremonies and festivities will begin July 20 and go on for five days. The $10 million temple, reportedly the most expensive Indian temple in the Midwest, is situated in Itasca, a Chicago suburb. The temple will expand in the course of next few years to become a fuller community center with a clinic and place for senior citizens to meet. The temple itself will be expanded and the construction is scheduled to start in two years.
