Kashmir may get rains

Rain or snow is likely at a few places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in the plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in parts of Assam and Meghalaya.

Night temperature were appreciably below normal in parts of Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and of south interior Karnataka, and were below normal in parts of the Bihar plateau, plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, south Konkan and Goa, of coastal Karnataka and in the remaining parts of Andhra Pradesh.

They were markedly above normal in west Rajasthan, and were appreciably above normal in parts of Gangetic West Bengal Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat.

They were above normal in parts of west Madhya Pradesh and Saurashtra and Kutch, and were normal over the rest of the country.
