Sena to field Balasaheb Vikhe-Patil in AhmednagarThe Shiv Sena will field Balasaheb Vikhe-Patil, pioneer of the co-operative movement in Maharashtra and former Congress MP, from the Ahmednagar constituency. Sena chief Bal Thackeray said the decision was taken at a meeting on Friday afternoon. It was attended by Vikhe-Patil's son, Radhakrishna, who defected from the Congress to join the Sena last year. He currently holds the agriculture portfolio in the Maharashtra government. UNI |
