Mulayam says Vananchal bill is 'highly undemocratic'

The Rashtriya Loktantrik Morcha Wednesday demanded the withdrawal of the Bihar Reorganisation Bill,1998. They claimed the government did not follow House procedure while introducing the Bill.

RLM president Mulayam Singh Yadav, who described the government's action as highly undemocratic, said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Madan Lal Khurana has admitted that the House was not in order when the Bill was introduced.

The Bill seeks to create a separate state of Vananchal from 18 South Bihar districts.

RLM leaders announced in a press conference that they would launch a stir against the bills introduced in the winter session, steam-rolling ''genuine and democratic voices.''
