The Central government has withdrawn its December 30 2011 order rejecting Army Chief General V.K. Singh's statutory complaint on his age row. Attorney General G.E. Vahanvati on Friday informs the Supreme Court about the decision of the government. During the hearing of General V.K. Singh's petition at the apex court, Solicitor General Rohinton Nariman cites three letters of Gen Singh to say that he has been unequivocally given his personal rights. However, Vahanvati says government's July 21 and 22 orders turning down Gen Singh's plea on age row stands.
