Here is 'news' millions of Harry Potter fanatics would kill to know.

Dudley Dursley is a wizard -- Professor Dumbledore did something to suppress his wizard powers in exchange for the Dursleys' promise that they would give Harry Potter shelter -- and The Boy Who Lived himself is the seventh Horcrux of the evil Lord Voldemort.

That is, in the 659-page PDF file floating around in the Internet underground -- read blogs -- as a leaked copy of J K Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final instalment in the boy wizard's adventures that have captured the imagination of millions of young and not so young fans.

But, rest assured, the file floating around is not the real deal. It's just fan-fic, or something written by a fan.

How do we know? Well, for one, the style is very different from Rowling's -- though in parts, especially the Fred and George Weasley parts, the writer gets into the Rowling skin quite easily.

Also, there is way too much sensuality. While Rowling has been ageing Harry quite nicely, with Half-Blood Prince filled with snogging, the physical attraction between Potter and Ginny is too detailed in the 'leaked' book for it to even qualify as a children's read.

The 7th Harry Potter: A fan's questions

But the real giveaway comes in Page 86, where an author's note reads: This chapter was written before JKR clarified how Secret Keepers work.

Potter 'leaks' are, however, not new. Before the penultimate part of the Potter adventures was published, London's The Guardian carried a story that betting patterns indicated Albus Dumbledore would die in Half-Blood Prince.

Potter fans, you best wait till July 21.
