Manasi Salvi in SatiIt's not easy being a woman.

Sati is a free-spirited law student enjoying life to the fullest. But things fall apart as the very people she considered her friends rape her.

The culprits roam free even as Sati's world falls apart.

Despite the humiliations and the stigma, Sati is a fighter. Not just does she recuperate physically and emotionally from her torture, she wants revenge.

Rang De Basanti writer Kamlesh Pandey has penned SATI.. Satya Ki Shakti, a television serial.

A veteran scriptwriter with films like Tezaab and Saudagar to his credit, Pandey says, 'It is a meaningful subject which means the power of truth. It's a unique concept for Indian television where the dividing line between fiction and reality almost disappears."

The serial is directed by Hemant Prabhu (Kundali, Koshish Ek Asha) and stars Manasi Salvi (Aashirwad, Saarthi) in the lead role, an actress who has won the Maharashtra Puraskar for her work in the Marathi film Sari Var Sari.

Sati.. Satya Ki Shakti begins Monday, May 29 on SaharaOne, and will be telecast Monday-Friday.
