The event saw a lot of film personalities like Yash Chopra, Ramesh Sippy and wife Kiran Juneja, Ashutosh Gowarikar and wife Mana (seen here in the foreground), Amrish Puri, Padmini Kolhapure with sister Tejaswini, Prem Chopra, Alka Yagnik and Ila Arun.

Amitabh Bachchan was conspicuous by his absence. Bachchan is very closely associated with Sahara Television, which hosted the grand event. The actor will also be featuring in one of their serials.

Asha Bhosle also did not make it to the show.
