Upsurge continues, Nifty soars, closes at all-time high of 1341

Share prices zoomed up further on sustained buying support from bull operators and institutional investors, at the National Stock Exchange, pushing up the NSE indices to an all-time-high today.

The S&P CNX Nifty rose further by 19 points to 1341 from 1321.45 points of the previous day and CNX Nnifty Junior shot up by 35.20 points to 2123.95 points from 2088.75 points. The S&P CNX Defty appreciated by 10.65 points to 1069.85 points from 1059.20 points.

The S&P CNX 500 index moved upto 14.70 points to 914.50 points from 899.80 points and CNX Midcap 200 index inproved by 15.65 points to 779.25 points from 763.60 points.

Total turnover in 415,608 trades, involving 131.48 million shares, stood at Rs 26.76 billion today. The turnover in debentures was Rs 2.63 million.

About 587 securities gained, 517 lost,e 63 remained unchanged while 138 scrips hit their price bands today.
