Uma ThurmanThe experience of appearing nude on-screen in 1988's Dangerous Liaisons, at the tender age of 18, has left actress Uma Thurman so traumatised that she has vowed never to bare all again.

Thurman revealed that she had not expected the media to turn the sex scene into something sordid. 'I  felt some trepidation going in, but it was an art movie. It was based on this classic novel set in eighteenth-century France, and the scene was appropriate,' she explained.

'But when Dangerous Liaisons came out, the scene was sensationalist in this really creepy, voyeuristic way,' she told Esquire magazine about the film directed by Stephen Frears.

'It made it seem out of character and it didn't make sense to me... I certainly didn't want to become a sensational sex symbol,' she added.

Brooke ShieldsBrooke Shields is having another baby

It seems Suddenly Susan star Brooke Shields has gotten over her post-pregnancy jitters, as she has confessed to expecting her second daughter with husband Chris Henchy.

'I wasn't sure I was going to make this public. I'm thrilled for my daughter to have a little friend,' Contactmusic.com quoted the 40-year old mum to 2-year old Rowan, as saying.

'Two Tauruses, it's a huge trick being played on me,' she added.

Susan, who is due to give birth to her second baby in May, made headlines last year when she went public with her battle against postpartum depression following Rowan's birth.

The actress was also publicly criticised by Tom Cruise for championing anti-depressant medication.

Katie Holmes' sex scene goes up in smoke!

Katie HolmesAt the Sundance Film Festival, director Jason Reitman was shocked when he discovered that a steamy sex scene featuring Katie Holmes, which was in the movie when it debuted at last year's Toronto Film Festival, had vanished from his film Thank You For Smoking.

'We were sitting there in shock,' the writer-director told the Los Angeles Times. 'And I turned to other people who had worked on the film, and we were confused! But the audience didn't seem to notice or care.'

Rumours are that Katie's sex scenes have been yanked, and the first accusation has been directed at Tom Cruise who, it is believed, has used his showbiz influence to kill the footage, as he didn't want his missus to be seen cavorting in the nude.

However, Reitman tried to clear Cruise's name, telling the Times that the scene was accidentally cut when two reels were spliced together in Los Angeles as filmmakers prepared a print for Smoking's four festival screenings. Reitman also said that he plans to restore the sex scene when Fox Searchlight releases Thank You For Smoking in US theatres on March 17.

FriendsNBC dismisses Friends reunion rumours

Fans of the hit TV show Friends have been left nursing broken hearts after NBC dismissed reports that the cast was returning to the telly once again for four one-hour episodes.

Jeff Zucker, CEO of NBC Universal Television Group, said there was no truth to the reports. 'Not one ounce of truth,' Moviehole.net quoted him as saying.

NBC's media relations department further said the rumours were false, adding that the only follow-up that would be aired was Joey, the spin-off sitcom starring Matt Le Blanc.

'There are currently no plans to have any follow-up to Friends other than Joey, which is still a major part of our comedy line-

up, and we whole-heartedly support it. The rumours started this weekend are just that: rumours. We wish the rest of the cast of Friends continued success in their careers, and would welcome them back at any time, but there are currently no plans for them to appear in their Friends roles,' the department stated.
