![]() "My film is about the Indian home in 2001'', says veteran film-maker Subhash Ghai, whose latest magnum opus, Yaadein, is all set to hit the screens on July 27. Yaadein, he says, will strike a chord among the families since it is about the smiles and tears they experience. The music of the film is doing exceptionally well, breaking all earlier music records with over 1.5 million copies sold within 15 days of the music release.
They were speaking at an exclusive meet the stars gathering at the Moviestar Complex, Goregaon, Bombay. The lucky invitees to the special Tips-Yaadein Lifetime Offer had got a never before opportunity to meet the mega starcast of the film. The offer comprised an entry pass for the programme with a CD of Yaadein. ''Fame is a liability as expectations are extraordinarily high. I have tried my best to make a good film. I hope you all like it,'' said Ghai. Produced under the Mukta Arts banner, Yaadein stars Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor as the romantic pair with Jackie Shroff in a stellar role. The film also stars Amrish Puri and Eighties’ heroine Rati Agnihotri among others.
For Hrithik and Kareena, the film is close to their hearts. For the two, it has been a learning experience working with Subhash Ghai. ''The film means a lot to me,'' admits Hrithik. And for Kareena, Yaadein fullfils her childhood dream to work with Subhash Ghai.
While Kareena's earlier film, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, has been declared the surprise hit of 2001. The young actress is all excited about her next release. UNI
