suchindra Bali enters Bollywood

Gaurav Saigal

We've had Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachhan.

Now its time for yet another star-progeny to make his way to Bollywood .

Vyjayanthimala Bali suchindra Bali, son of yesteryears' popular actress, Vyjayanthimala, is all set for Bombay showbiz with New Century Film's Aanch, which is likely to hit the big screen in the last week of May this year.

"The Bollywood debut of Bali will project him as a rebellious young man from the conservative society where ego rules the heart," says director, Rajesh Kumar Singh.

The young director had shown his potential in the Sanjay Dutt - Manisha Koirala starrer Baagi and in Chandrachur starrer Betabi.

"Bali, along with Shrabani Mukherjee - remember Kajol's cousin playing Sunil Shetty's wife in Border - are in love with each other, and will fight against Nana Patekar and Paresh Raval , the icons of vendatta in the village," says Singh who is all set to capture the rural locales of eastern Uttar Pradesh for the film.

Shrabani Mukherjee The film is shot in Akoda village of Varanasi and Kamarpur of Gazipur district.

A law graduate from Delhi University, Bali finds himself just safe for a new-comer's tag with his experience in the South.

"Two of my Tamil releases Kannodu Kandethellam and Mugavara in Tamil have done well.

My third film Varsha in Malyalam that will be dubbed in Tamil too, is under-production," says Bali, who took to films after switching over from his first passion - modelling.

"Aanch is a step from the South film industry to Bollywood, that perhaps everybody from other regions, will love to take," says Bali.

However the model-cum-actor is cautious about the star-tag of his mother. "Keeping the pace of my mother will certainly be difficult for me. Even if I achieve a bit, I shall be thankful to God."

Like Bali, the others in the unit too appear to be confident of success. "The realistic plot will surely gel with the audience," says Kamal Pandey who wrote the story out of a real life incident.

Nana Patekar "Aanch, with a supporting cast like Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal will certainly attract the audience," says the young writer. The film also co-stars Ayesha Jhulka and Raghubir Yadav.

As for Nana, this is yet another chance to bring out the real politics in Indian roots after Prahar and Krantiveer.

"As an actor I would love to bring out the real face of politics in my performance, instead of going into it," said the brilliant actor while shooting on one of the locales here.
