Rizvi granted judicial custody

A special court granted judicial custody to Nazim Hassan Rizvi, producer of Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, till January 19, for his alleged links with underworld don, Chota Shakeel.

Rizvi had conspired with Shakeel to bump off a few film personalities.

Additional Sessions Judge AP Bangale, who presides over the Special Maharashtra Control for Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court granted the judicial custody today.

However, Judge Bangale extended the police remand of Abdul Rahim Allabaksh, the co-producer of the film till January 15.

Both of them were arrested last month by a Crime Branch team investigating into the underworld-filmdom nexus.
