Sanju's late, makes CM wait!

Komal Nahta

Sanjay Dutt sure is a big star.

And none other than Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh got a taste of it when he was made to wait on the sets of Padmini Kolhapure's new untitled film. It stars Padmini's younger sister Tejaswini Sanjay Dutt Kolhapure and Sanjay Dutt, and was launched on April 13.

Deshmukh played clapper boy for the inaugural scene. All very fine, except it was delayed by almost 15 to 20 minutes because Sanju did not arrive on time. Incidentally, Sanjay Dutt stays very close to Mehboob Studios, Bombay, the venue of the launch.

Torn between the CM and the hero, Padmini and husband Tutu Sharma were at a loss. Finally, sister Tejaswini took matters into her hands and gave the go ahead for the muhurat shot sans Sanjay Dutt.

Soon after, Vilasrao Deshmukh left with his large entourage. And scant minutes later, Dutt arrived, looking cool. He didn't turn a hair when he was told that the CM had been kept waiting for him.
