Former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi lashed out at former Pakistan captain-turned-politician Imran Khan following Tuesday's terror attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team in Lahore, saying teams should stop visiting Pakistan to play cricket.

Imran had accused India of double standards after it decided not to tour Pakistan last year on security grounds but continued with the home series against England despite the terror attacks in Mumbai.

"The act of the terrorists needs to be condemned in the strongest possible language. It is dastardly and inhuman.

"I would like to know from Imran Khan now which nation would like to play the game in Pakistan when their players are so insecure," Bedi asked.

Former 400 metres ace 'Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh also condemned the attack.

Reached on phone while he was playing golf, Milkha said, "It is very unfortunate that an incident of this nature has taken place in Lahore.

"I have always maintained that sports should be kept away from politics."
