276 Runs scored by Gautam Gambhir in the match -- most by an Indian in a Test against England. Gambhir broke Vinoo Mankad's 56-year-old record of 256 runs at Lord's.

4 Yuvraj's four sixes equal the maximum sixes hit by an Indian in an innings against England. Kapil Dev (at Lord's in 1990), M S Dhoni (at The Oval in 2007) and Virender Sehwag (at Chennai in previous Test) had also hit four sixes.
