India's first complete data warehousing

Informix International Inc, the leading provider of innovative database technology, has announced that Modi Telstra Private Limited, a joint venture enterprise between Modicorp and Telstra - the leading Australian telecommunications giant, will utilise Informix's database technology for planned data warehouse applications.

This is the first-ever complete data warehousing solution that will be implemented in India, a release in Bombay claimed.

Data warehouses for Modi Telstra, based on the Informix Metacube suite of products will enable Modi Telstra to significantly enhance its leadership position by understanding the marketplace, customers as well as their behaviour better, the press note said.

Customers can now be analysed and segmented by common values, needs and their call behaviour, noted simply by the products they buy, the release pointed out.

The primary data warehouse applications to be implemented are: customers profiling, call behaviour analysis, relationship marketing, product development, customer retention and churn and revenue/profitability analysis.
