Email for the unwashed

Datapro students and their families, whether they have a computer at home or not, can walk into a Datapro centre now and communicate with 50 million people around the world said Rajeev Arora, chairman and managing director, Datapro Information Technology Limited, while launching the campaign to offer free email addresses to students, alumni, and their families from over 130 Datapro education centres across the country.

Arora further explained that cost effective communication and access to information is the need of the day. With the rapidly changing world, staying in touch with what is happening is imperative. Unfortunately, the dearth of facilities in this regard is absolutely appealing.

Now these families can be in touch with their friends and professional contacts in India and overseas. The students can seek admissions, get university and technical information, send out faxes and emails.

In spite of all the Internet hype, currently there are only 30,000 subscribers to it in the country. Datapro's initiative to provide the email facilities to communicate across the countries, will more than double the people using this facility in India.
