Senior citizens catch up

The function was organised by Dignity Second Careers - a unit of Senior Citizens Life Enrichment Services, publishers of the magazine Dignity Dialogue. The course was organised by Dignity in association with NIIT, the infotech training corporation. Tata Institute of Social Sciences Director Parthanath Mukherji gave away the certificates.

The course curriculum included computer concepts, Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and introduction to Internet.

Speaking on this occasion, Mukherji said that since society has come into existence there existed the generation gap which still continues. Since the society is changing at a rapid pace, bridging is becoming more difficult. However, it becomes the need of the senior citizen to be a part of the information revolution and one should not ignore it.
