Anantaraman is Indmark Infocom chief

V Anantaraman V Anantaraman, who resigned from Wipro Infotech Group as vice-president (special projects) last month, has joined Madras-based Indmark Infocom Limited as president. Anantaraman was the first chief executive of Wipro Acer Limited.

Indmark Infocom is a start-up of the TVS group and is to focus on UPS (uninterrupted power supply) systems.

Asked if Indmark would manufacture the UPS systems, Anantaraman said that while it has been decided that UPS systems would be sold under the 'TVS' brand name, it has not been decided whether the company would itself manufacture these.

He said the charter of the new company would be made public by the end of the month.

Anantaraman, who officially joined Indmark on June 9, said he is right now engaged in formulating the start-up's plans. It has not been decided if Indmark will market anything other than UPS systems.

Anantaraman worked with Wipro for about eight years. After being moved from Wipro Acer, he was vice-president (special projects) at Wipro Infotech Group for a little over a month.
