Datamatics ties up with Taiwan's Accton

Datamatics, a leading information technology and networking solutions provider, has tied up with the Accton Technology Corporation of Taiwan, to address the $ 42 million networking switches, routers and adapters market in India.

Accton has been ranked as the top global vendor for 10/100 mbps Internet and fast ethernet switches in independent market research studies conducted by the Tolly Group of the US and Dataquest of India. On the strength of its proprietary ASIC-based switching technology, Accton delivers performance at extremely cost-effective prices.

The hubs, routers and switches market is currently dominated by 3Com, Cisco and D-Link. The market is also going through rapid technological changes.

Datamatics represents several other leading companies such as Hayes microcomputer products (for modems), symbol technologies Asia Inc (for bar-coding) and Timeplex (for networking).
