Hope Samosa Caucus grows and brings full diversity of Indian cuisine in US: PM

Talking about the growing numbers of Indian-Americans in the US Congress, Modi said," I am told that Samosa Caucus is now flavour of House. I hope it grows and brings full diversity of Indian cuisine here."

"The foundation of America was inspired by the vision of a nation of equal people...There are millions here who have roots in India, some of them sit proudly in this chamber and there is one behind me," Modi said pointing at US vice president Kamala Harris duirng his address.

Samosa Caucus is an informal grouping of Indian-American lawmakers who are either part of the House of Representatives or the Senate.

The term was coined by Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi to give credence to the growing number of "desi" lawmakers in the US Congress.
